A Tiny Miracle

Ladies and gentlemen, children and pets of all ages and sizes...Tyler Christopher Kolchuk SLEPT THROUGH THE NIGHT!!!!!

Yes, you read those words in red correctly...Saturday night/Sunday morning, Tyler went to sleep at 11pm and woke up at 7am. 8 full hours of glorious sleep! For the previous two nights he had slept for seven each night, so we were hoping something good was to come.

So..you may ask yourself, how do Mommy and Daddy feel after 8 hours of sleep? Well...each time we woke up and realized he was still sleeping, we checked to make sure he was still breathing, because it was just so uncommon. So, we did sleep and we did get more than usual, and yes, we did feel more rested than we have in the last seven weeks, but we did wake up many times out of habit.

And you may also ask: How did he sleep last night? Any guesses?

Not as good. He slept from 7pm til 1:30am, which is long, but Mommy and Daddy expected him to get up around 9 or 10 then get him down by 11 or 12 to sleep through the night again. So we stayed up for that 10pm feeding, and when 10pm came and went, we realized he was out for the long run. He was up from 1:30 til 3am, then awake again at 3:30am til 4:30am. So the overnight was tough, but he did sleep from 4:30am til 8:30 which was a nice little extra nap for us.

We have taken more pictures and I'll post more soon. I have 705 pictures in my Tyler folder now.

We have his 8 week well-visit on Thursday with the pediatrician and we'll have details on his weight, length and health.

My mom will be visiting from Wednesday through Sunday, and I can't wait for Tyler to meet his Grandma (Mimi) from NY.


When I look at the world today, things are just a little bit brighter...
