Two Hours Twenty Minutes

The Kolchuk Family. Like Kelly's new glasses?

Two hours, twenty minutes: No, it's not the length of a Matt Damon Spy thriller, it's the amount of time Kelly and I spent eating on Saturday night at The Melting Pot in Novi.

Kelly's parents spent a few days in Mackinac and stopped in friday night and saturday before heading back to Buffalo. They babysat Tyler for us so we could get out and spend some time together. The Melting Pot is a fondue restaurant and it was amazing!

The food was so good that we decided to splurge, making it a belated anniversary dinner and we ate a four-course meal, and left with four boxes of leftovers.

The appetizer was a Fiesta Cheese Fondue and it came with a ton of stuff to dip in it. The cool thing is that it's all cooked right at your table.

Course 2 was a very tasty Athenian salad.

Course 3 was out entree. It was a broth that we asked to be cooked Mojo style, which had a citrus blend of flavors in a broth that we dipped garlic & herb chicken ginger pork, shrimp, veggies & potatoes and others into. They also brought out tons of sauces & dips for use to put on the food once we cooked it at the table.

Course 4 was dessert. We had a Chocolate Smores with Peanut Butter fondue mixed with Graham crackers which we dipped marshmallows, strawberries, and other dessert items into. It was amazing.

We left there feeling very full.

Then we stopped home, dropped all 4 boxes of food off in the fridge and went to the South Lyon theater to see The Bourne Ultimatum which was decent. Not as good as the second one, but it kept me interested. It was neat to be back at the theater again after a 2 year absence. They remodeled some of it and the seats were in much better shape than before.

Here's a few pics that Uncle Daryl sent from his camera and their visit over the last 2 weekends.
