Tyler had another doctor's appointment this morning to see how his ears are doing. The good news is that the fluid in them is now much less, and his ears look much better, so at this time, there is no need to worry about tubes. He had a tympanio-something-or-other prior to the appointment which showed the level air moving through his ears and the results were good.
Thank God.
It was a good visit, and we like the doctor. In fact, Tyler was the star of the waiting room. He was a bundle of energy, having taken a short power nap on the drive, and he was a superstar, and the waiting room was his stage. He waved and said hi to strangers, and he walked around, talking and being his usual fun self. One woman on the other side of the room waved at him while Kelly was holding him. He wanted to get down, then walked around the chairs to get a closer view of the woman, where he proceeded to smile and wave back to her. It was so funny.
Other news in Tyler's ever-changing world, is that he is going to move into the Toddler room at daycare on Monday.
Well, let me explain. Because Rosey's is running out of room in the building, and there would be too many toddlers in the current toddler room, they are converting the current sleep area for infants into a new toddler room for kids who are transitioning from infants. Tyler will move into this room with 3 others at his level.
Besides some concern at the sudden re-arranging of things, we are looking forward to seeing him develop even further in the new room. He'll get plenty of attention, being that there is only 4 kids in it now, and there is a limit of 7 in total. We saw a basic schedule of what his new days will be like and they are filled with activities.
Rachel, one of Tyler's teachers in the infant room, says he is the smartest of the kids moving to the new room. She says he's "just too smart for the baby room." When I asked, she told me she hadn't told the other parents the same thing...lol. But I had to ask, cuz I figured she was just humoring me. But she says he is very smart, and that makes us happy.
So, not too shabby for 2007 so far, and we'll keep you updated as things happen. It's a strange knowledge to have that Tyler has been in daycare for about a year now.
I have some new videos and pics to post, so keep checking back, and I'll try to get them up more often.
Thanks for reading our blog today!
