Happy New Year

Just a quick post to wish you a happy new year! Tyler has now lived in 3 years! 05, 06 and now, 07. Strange....very strange how fast the time goes.

We have all been sick, and that's why we haven't posted much recently. Poor Tyler can't seem to catch a break. We spent 5 hours in the Pediatrics Emergency room with him on 12/28. He has bronchiolitis, which affects the smaller area of your lungs, unlike bronchitis which hits the main area. But, the virus was really getting to him and he was having difficulty breathing. Our pediatrician was expecting to admit him to the hospital for a couple days to monitor his breathing, but after 5 hours in the ER, he had shown improvement enough to satisfy those doctors. It was a challenging holiday as a result, cuz poor Tyler was not himself and was really not feeling well.

Of course, it should come as no surprise that Kelly and I would also get sick again. The good news is that Tyler is getting better and his breathing is more like it should be now. His demeanor is back to normal and that is such a relief.

On January 10th, we have a consult with an Ear, Nose & Throat specialist to discuss the frequent ear infections he's been getting and whether or not he might need tubes in his ears.
