I can't believe it's been a full week since our last post. I spent most of last week sick, then Tyler had a fever and things got very busy.
We're both better now and life is moving on. Labor Day weekend was fun and I'll post pics soon. Kelly's parents came up to spend time with us...uh...Tyler. LOL. Kelly and I are so proud of the little boy he is becoming that it's so much fun when family visits and gets to see it for themselves in person. It's one thing to show you a video on this blog, it's another to be here in person with him.
We took him to Erwin's Orchard in South Lyon and it was his first experience on an apple picking adventure. He was in a great mood the whole time and we got some incredible pictures.
Tyler is still changing and doing new things on a regular basis. His newest is crawling towards us when we are on the floor with him, his mouth open, saying "aaaahhhh" until he lowers his forehead and burrows into us. It's almost like a hug, or sign of affection, and it's very cool.
He is also pulling himself up to his knees now, and is able to let go of what he pulled up on and stay on his knees for a time.
Standing in the kitchen, if you ask Tyler "Where's the light?" he looks right at the two lights on the ceiling with a big smile. He loves when I reach up and touch the chain hanging from the one above the main area. He's even reached up to them as if to touch them, too.
Another accomplishment is that he is able to put his play coins in the slot of his piggy bank. Grandpa Vince showed him this over the weekend and Tyler began to mimic him. In general, Tyler loves to put things inside other things, take them out and put them back in, maybe shake them some and do it again.
Tyler is also waving hello and bye-bye when prompted. He responds better to "bye-bye" and it makes my day when my son waves goodbye to me before work.
He is so much fun to be with and the truth is that Tyler makes it so much fun to be a dad.
Thanks for reading our blog today!
